Command Pest Mosquito Control

What do you treat? We will fog the lawn, shrubs, house, tree trunks, and fencing if you have it. This will eliminate mosquitos on the property and will place a film on the places that mosquitos land.

What if it rains after an application? As long as the application has had time to dry, it will be fine. It contains an ingredient that forms a film that doesn't wash off and lasts about a month.

Do I need to water the lawn for the application to be effective? Watering is not necessary. We do ask that the homeowner refrain from watering until the application is dry.

Is it okay to let the dogs and kids outside? Please, no traffic on the lawn until the application is dry. This should take about an hour, depending on the wind and temperatures.

Will it hurt my vegetable garden? No. We will not treat directly into a vegetable garden, but some drift may occur. We do advise always washing any vegetables before eating them, whether purchased at a store or grown at home.

Doesn't the city already spray for mosquitos? Some communities do spray for mosquitos, but usually just in drainage ditches when an infestation problem is imminent. This kind of treatment is limited in effectiveness because sewers, streams, creeks, and your back yard remain untreated.

Will my dog be safe from Heartworm Disease? By reducing the number of mosquitos on your property, their risk will be lowered, but we strongly recommend giving them heartworm preventative medicine on a regular basis.

Will my fish pond be okay? We will not treat areas around fish ponds. Fish are extremely sensitive to many materials, and we don't want to risk harming them. We may make an exception if the customer completely covers the pond and is willing to accept liability.

What can homeowners do to prevent mosquitos during mosquito season?

• Regularly (every 3-4 days) empty anything on the property that holds rainwater: dishes under flowerpots, tire swings, buckets, an old frisbee, dog toys, etc.
• Regularly (every 3-4 days) change the water in anything on the property that normally holds water: pet dishes, wading pools, birdbaths, water troughs, fountains, etc.
• Keep rain guttering and downspouts cleaned out so water doesn't stand in them.
• Correct areas that have standing water after rain: fill in low places with soil, keep ditches clear of leaves and debris, aerate your lawn, fill in hollow tree stumps with cement or sand.
• Make sure outside faucets aren't leaky, creating a constant puddle.
• Make sure sprinkler systems don't have leaks that cause puddles.
• Keep grass short and shrubbery trimmed around the house where mosquitos may rest.
